In-Person Therapy Intensives

Change doesn’t occur overnight, and sometimes the standard 50-minute session isn’t enough to get to the heart of what’s going on, especially when you’re in the middle of something significant. And there are other times that it may be hard to delve into the core of where you’re stuck during a therapy session in the middle of your day, knowing that you’ll have to rush back to work, the kids or your routine. While regular therapy sessions are helpful, sometimes they don’t allow the space necessary to go deeper, identify core repetitive patterns, or more importantly, have the space to integrate new tools and skills. An intensive is a great option if you’re ready to create some lasting change, or feel like the work we do in a regular session can get undone or glossed over as soon as we are off our call.

Therapy intensives are held in person at my private home office in Danville, CA.

Therapy intensives are appropriate for…

  • couples in acute conflict or navigating a significant rupture
  • individuals at a crossroads, i.e. facing a major decision, loss, or life transition, and want to arrive a decision quicker
  • people who have done therapy before and want to go further into the work
  • out-of-area clients who want to work together in a concentrated format
  • clients who easily get distracted after a weekly virtual session because they have to rush right back into their life and routine
  • anyone who feels like weekly sessions aren’t moving fast enough

What to expect:

Intensives begin with a thorough intake to understand where you are and what you want to address. The extended time allows us to move through layers that weekly sessions might take months to reach, with space to process, integrate, and leave with clarity and a concrete path forward.

Sessions take place in my private office in Danville, CA, in a calm and comfortable setting. Most clients describe the experience as both challenging and deeply clarifying.
